I'll start with the good: The music was amazing, they had great musicians and singers. Heads up: Worship was also an hour long filled with many really great songs, That isn't a complaint just be aware.. The crowd was diverse in race, age gender and just appearances of those attending. Nursery workers were nice.
However, I was very sketched out when the pastor made a comment about giving tithes and offerings and said "this is not about giving just 10%. You have to give all that you can and know that God will provide for you." And later in the service referred to God looking out for you as "promoting you" which is very unsettling that a pastor would put so much pressure on the relationship of how God will protect you and your fiscal situation. I was also taken aback by the alter call because he asked everyone dealing with a struggle up to the front to be prayed over (which is fine) but as he started to pray over these people he called for the associate pastors (or equivalent) to pray wth him but from the outside it looked like basically whoever else wanted to pray over the people could. Which is great that people are praying over each other but I would think it should be done in small groups or Sunday school, it made everything very messy and hard to follow. And this is where I really felt uncomfortable, they started to push people back into the arms of others after praying over them and letting people fall down on the floor.. And to me that all seems like a show. If that's what you like in worship, then this church is for you. I like my pastor to teach straight of the bible and nothing else. I like my church filled with souls that need love and souls that can help in different places to build each other up. I don't like churches that make it feel like the only reason you are there is to give them money and help put on a show. The entire experience was very unsettling and I had a very weird gut feeling walking into that building and it just got worse the longer I sat there.
Love my Church!!! Filled with the Holy Spirit and can really feel the presence of God! Never felt so close to Jesus in all my life! Everyone there is so loving and accepting...they never judge! Thank you Lord for leading me to this church
Such a fresh breath of air coming to a church that allows the Holy Spirit to move!!
I separated this last comment because it had nothing to do with the rating I gave just something that those in attendance should be aware of, they do allow men in the nursery. Like I said not a complaint but could matter if you're a mom that wanted to nurse or something.
The Presence of the Lord is the only reason his children need, come, taste and see that the Lord is Good
This church loves God! It shows!
